Costa Rica Family Vacation Testimonial – Nalin Mistry – “Trust”

By Marina K. Villatoro · Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

“Trust”

nalin familyIn August we started the planning process for our trip to Costa Rica in December. As usual, based on past experience, we had come to rely heavily on Trip Advisor and picked Casa Bell Rita B&B as our first stop in Costa Rica. The next step was to figure out an itinerary for 7 days – places to visit, things to do, where to stay and experience the local food.

Rita from Casa Bella recommended Marina and she turned out to be a real gem from the start.  Not only was she patience, responsive, would listen, provide suggestions, recommendations, however what we valued most was her local knowledge in all aspects once we were able to convey across our “needs” & “expectations”. She really turned out to be our eyes and ears on Costa Rica.

Our final packed itinerary included visit to: The Poas volcano, La Paz Waterfall and Gardens, Doka Coffee estate, Tortuguero tour, Arenal with Cano Negro, Hanging Bridges, Canopy tour and volcano hike. We really really enjoyed the Tortuguero and Canopy tour. Some of the tours included meals and these turned to be an excellent method of experiencing local food at a “mom and pop” restaurant where the local folk would also dine.

The trip Marina helped to plan was flawless, we were never asked for proof of payment, groups tours were very small & personal and more importantly exactly along the lines on what she had suggested. It turned out to be value for money vacation and no wasted days or tours. We would do it all over again in hindsight!

So what is trust – something held by one party for the benefit of another.  We were fortunate to have come across someone like Marina who we could trust on the professional guidance she provided, spends more time than the payment she receives in lieu, delivers on her promises and more importantly an experience we will never forget.

Thank you Marina and keep up the good work!
