Here’s what people have to say about them and if you don’t believe them, I dare you to try it!

The volcano itself was much cooler than I expected. Lava was gushing out of the side and we were able to come within one foot of the lava. It was so hot that you could only stand near it for a few seconds and I could feel the rubber on my shoes melting to the rock below my feet. Truly amazing!

And

Our guide, Kevin was the absolute best. He was fun and knowledgeable – just a great guy! We weren’t seasoned hikers and he matched our pace and gave us a couple of rests along the way. The actual hike is not that hard!

The lava at night is spectacular! And we were the only ones on the mountain after all the day tours left. We got close enough to feel that intense heat, and when the fog started to roll in were glad to have an experienced guide to lead us back to our camp.

I would go again in a heartbeat, just to get more pics and hopefully see even more flowing lava – definitely worth the effort!
