Edward Scissorhands Escaped and Was Found in Zarcero, Costa Rica
Two hours from San Jose is a tiny town by the name of Zarcero. It is located in the Central Valley of Costa Rica. For some unbeknown reason to everyone, including the people of Zarcero, an older local man, gardener by trade, has made it his mission to love it with all his heart.
He chose the central park in front of the church to demonstrate his unconditional love by carving animal figurines and other unique designs out of the cypress bushes growing on the front lawn.
This isn’t exactly a place I’d say run to the second you get to Costa Rica, but if you are driving in that direction, definitely take the detour and enjoy the view.
