Photo Friday – Ex Prison turned into a Children’s Museum

Yes, it’s true. This was at one point one of the harshest and cruelest penitentiaries of Costa Rica. Today it is one of my favorite places to take my son to.
The Children’s Museum of Costa Rica, located in San Jose, can be ranked up their with some of the best kid’s museums in the United States. If you want to see the way the prisoners lived merely 50 years ago, you can pay a separate entrance fee to go to that part of the museum.
In all honesty, you’ll see pictures of it as you enter the kids portion and why depress yourself when the museum is soooooooooo great!
